The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate in the March 18 gubernatorial election, Mr. Seyi Makinde, has been re-elected as governor of Oyo State.
The INEC returning officer in the state, Professor Adebayo Bamire announced that Makinde scored a total of 563,756 votes to defeat other candidates.
According to INEC, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin scored 256,685 votes, while the Accord Party candidate, Adebayo Adelabu came third, scoring a total of 38,357 votes.
