Two of Anambra State’s political heavyweights, Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, OON and Senator Uche Ekwunife, were on Saturday officially received into the fold of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
The duo joined the party at a strategic extraordinary stakeholders meeting presided over by the State Chairman of the party, Chief Basil Ejidike in Awka.
Senator Uche Ekwunife is joining the APC from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, where she had been one of the leaders for several years. Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, is joining from the Young Progressives Party, YPP.
Speaking during the reception, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah declared that time has come for APC to take over Anambra State, noting that those who previously said that it wasn’t time are now thinking otherwise. He made it clear that APC will certainly change the narrative in due course, adding that with his achievements and that of Sen Uche Ekwunife as Senators, they are in a better position to give Ndi Anambra a new direction.
