Despite spirited efforts to revive him, Nollywood actor, Pope Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, was on Wednesday, confirmed dead.
The actor and three of his colleagues drowned following a boat mishap on their way to Asaba, Delta State after a movie shoot on the Anam river, Anambra State.
Although frantic efforts were made to revive the star actor at two different hospitals in Asaba on Wednesday, he was eventually pronounced dead around 9pm by doctors.
Jnr. Pope and his colleagues were reported to have been on their way back from a movie location in a boat when their boat capsized in the Anam River in Anambra state.
The 39 years old actor, is survived by his wife and three children.
