The family of late veteran Nollywood comic actor, John Okafor, popularly called Mr. Ibu, have picked Friday, June 28, 2024 as his burial date.
The remains of Mr. Ibu according to the programme, will be laid to rest in his hometown Amuri, in Nkanu West Local Government Area of Enugu State.
A statement signed by Mr. Ibu’s brother, Elder Sunday Okafor, said the burial rites will start on Tuesday, June 25th with a novelty match.
The ceremonies continue on Wednesday, June 26, with a special session tagged ‘Mr Ibu’s Night’. The session, would involve candlelight procession and live entertainment.
A Christian wake keep will hold on Thursday, June 27, at his compound in Eziokwe Amuri, Nkanu West.
The remains of the late actor will be buried after a funeral service on Friday, June 28.
The burial ceremony will come to an end on Sunday, 30th June, with a Church Thanksgiving for family members, friends and well wishers.
