Former Super Eagles coach, Finidi George, could return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) barely three weeks after resigning from the national team. Insiders say that Rivers United are considering appointing Finidi as their coach ahead of the 2024-2025 NPFL season. Rivers United finished 8th in the NPFL and finished in the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup in the just concluded 2023-2024 season.
