PDP SOUTH -SOUTH ACTION GROUP CONDEMNS VERBAL ATTACK ON NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, AMBASSADOR UMAR DAMAGUM

:

A statement issued today in Asaba by Akpofure Dafe, on behalf of the PDP South-South Action Group, strongly condemns the recent verbal attack on the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Umar Damagum. This unwarranted and unprovoked attack is unacceptable and has no place in our democratic discourse.

Furthermore, we also frown at the reckless statement made by the Chairman of the Party’s Board of Trustees, Senator Aldophous Wagbara, during their visit to the Rivers State Governor. Such statements only serve to divide the party and undermine our collective efforts towards unity and progress.

We stand in solidarity with Chairman Ambassador Damagum and the entire PDP leadership, and we demand an immediate retraction and apology from Senator Wagbara. We will not tolerate any form of disrespect or insult towards our leaders.

As we move forward, we call on all members of the PDP to unite and face the tasks ahead, particularly in the upcoming elections in Edo and Ondo states. We must put aside our differences and work together to ensure victory for our party.

The PDP South-South Action Group remains committed to promoting unity, tolerance, and constructive dialogue within our party and the Nigerian political landscape.
