Fuji king Wasiu Ayinde Marshall popularly known as K1 de Ultimate, may have concluded arrangements to challenge his disqualification to vie for the Awujale of Ijebuland throne by the Funsegbuwa Royal house in court.
Hints of this move we’re dropped by two persons close to the Olori Omo Oba on Sunday.
On his Facebook page on Sunday, K1’s close friend and ally hinted that going to court may be K1’s next line of action on a post he titled: “Why K1 is heading to court to seek justice!!!”
Accordingto Basia, the Fusengbuwa royal house did not give K1 a fair hearing in the screening process. Basia argued that, “if you want to screen someone of his status, you need to do it properly by inviting him and his lineage to come defend themselves. You may even record it for the whole world to see. It should not be done by few people deciding his faith behind closed doors then asking some women to come to say ‘we don’t know him or the people he mentioned in the questionnaire”.
“If K1 says that he’s qualified to be the next Awujale, then allow him to prove himself. Fusengbuwa is a very large family that is spread all over the world. I don’t think it is possible for those people doing the screening to know everyone in that family. They should have allowed him to present his lineage and then ask him questions. It is not fair for a few people to disqualify K1 without letting him defend himself properly.”
Few hours after him, Media Consultant of the K1 Organization, Mr. Kunle Rasheed, followed with what looked like an affirmation of the Fuji king going to court when he wrote, “Now it’s time to test the LEGALITY. The race has just begun!”, on his own Facebook page.
Already, a fresh crisis seems to have erupted in the Funsegbuwa Royal house. A meeting of the princes scheduled for Monday, December 15, was hurriedly postponed indefinitely on Saturday.
