NNAUSA DONATES SCHOOL DESKS, EXERCISE BOOKS TO SELECT PRIMARY SCHOOLS IN UKWA/NGWA LAND THROUGH ITS 2025 VPSI PROGRAM (PHOTOS)

Consistent with its long-standing tradition and in furtherance of its commitment to complementing the giant strides of the administration of Governor Alex Otti in the education sector, the Ngwa National Association, USA Inc. (NNAUSA), led by Dr. Ugochukwu Agu, through the 2025 implementation of its Village Primary School Improvement (VPSI) Project, donated 45 school desks and 750 exercise books each to nine schools across Ukwa/Ngwa land.

Schools which benefited, includes:
• Nnentu Primary School, Aba North LGA
• Osusu Primary School, Aba North LGA
• Aro Amano Community School, Osisioma Ngwa LGA
• Okpuala Ngwa Primary School, Isiala Ngwa North LGA
• Umunevo Community School, Isiala Ngwa South LGA
Others were:
. Onicha Ngwa primary, Obingwa LGA,
. Obuzor Ngwa primary school, Ugwunagbo LGA, Ohanku Primary school, Ukwa East LGA and Umuekechi, Mbano primary school, Ukwa West LGA .

Presenting the items to the schools on behalf of the National President of the Association, Dr. Ugochukwu Agu, the NNAUSA’s VPSI Chairman, Chief Okechukwu Vine Etufugh noted that since the establishment of the VPSI in 2008, NNAUSA has continued to ensure the improvement of educational standards at primary school level in Ukwa/Ngwa land.

Chief Etufugh explained that the gesture was aimed at complementing the efforts of the government as government cannot be everywhere at the same time and urged the benefitting schools to put the items into good use.

He assured that NNAUSA through her various educational and skills acquisition programs including the Ngwa Educational and Outreach Foundation (NEOF), Ngwa Apprenticeship and Skill Acquisition Board (NASAB) among others, will remain focused in supporting education and developmental initiatives in Ngwa land and the state at large by providing scholarship opportunities to youths pursuing tertiary education as well as skills acquisition programs.

Also speaking at the event, the Chairman, NNAUSA Home Project Implementation, Monitoring and Advisory Team, Dr. Chinagozi Adindu and the wife of the Speaker, Abia State House of Assembly, Mrs. Uchechi Emeruwa described NNAUSA as a non governmental organization who has continued to touch lives through their personal funds and revealed that the organization on 31st December 2025, awarded scholarships to benefiting students of her Educational and Skills acquisition programs.

In their response, the Education Secretary of Aba North Education Authority, Mrs. Ngozi Blessing Omenazu, as well as some Head teachers of the benefiting schools including, Mrs Rachael Ogbonna of Nnentu primary school, Mrs Sunday Chilee of Aro Amano community primary school and some community leaders of the area, Chief John Arungwa of Umunevo community and the Traditional ruler of Okpulor Ngwa Autonomous Community in Isiala Ngwa North LGA, Eze G.A Ubani, who spoke through the Traditional Prmary Minister, Chief Isaac Ukaegbu, among others appreciated NNAUSA for the gesture while also lauding the Association for other people oriented programs and urged them to sustain the gestures.
