The Vice Chairman of Agege Local Government Area, Hon. Adewale Sodiq Azeez, has called on residents of Agege to actively participate in the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) electronic membership registration exercise.
Hon. Azeez made the call while joining the Chairman and other party leaders in sensitizing residents on the importance of the digital membership drive, which is aimed at strengthening grassroots participation and creating a credible, up-to-date membership database ahead of future political activities.
He described the exercise as more than just a party registration, explaining that it offers residents the opportunity to formally align with the political process and have a voice in shaping the development of their communities.
According to him, accurate and verifiable membership records are essential for effective planning, representation, and internal democracy, which ultimately translate into better governance and service delivery at the grassroots level.
Hon. Azeez noted that Agege remains one of the most politically active local governments in Lagos State and urged residents, particularly youths and first-time participants, to take advantage of the e-registration to formally become part of the political process.
He also encouraged community leaders, ward executives, and party mobilizers to continue engaging residents across all wards, ensuring that no willing participant is left out of the exercise.
The Vice Chairman assured residents that the registration process is simple, transparent, and accessible, and urged all participants to cooperate with designated registration agents and ensure that their details are accurately captured.
He reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive participation, transparency, and community-driven governance in Agege Local Government, while urging residents to visit designated registration centres within their wards to complete the registration process.
