INEC POSTPONES GOV, ASSEMBLY ELECTIONS IN 10 LAGOS POLLING UNITS

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has postponed Saturday’s governorship and state assembly elections in 10 polling units in the Victoria Garden City (VGC) around the Lekki area of the state. INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner, Segun Agbaje made the announcement when he addressed reporters at the VGC. PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION: PETER OBI BEATS BOLA TINUBU IN LAGOS

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has returned Mr. Peter Obi of the Labour Party, as winner of last Saturday’s presidential election in Lagos State. Labour Party gathered 582,664 votes to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, which scored 541,850 votes. Meanwhile, the APC candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu won more local government areas than Obi. While Obi picked nine local government areas, Tinubu won in 11 of the 20 local government areas.
