GOV ENO WORSHIPS AT APOSTLE HELEN UKPABIO’S LIBERTY CHURCH, SAYS A’IBOMITES AND CROSS RIVERIANS WILL CONTINUE TO BE BROTHERS, LIVING IN PEACE, HARMONY

Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has acknowledged the bond of brotherhood and love binding the people of Akwa Ibom and Cross River States, charging Akwa Ibom indigenes living and working in Cross River State to continue to propagate and maintain peace, while supporting the growth of both States.

Governor Eno gave the charge during a special Sunday worship service at Liberty Gospel Church, Calabar, Cross River State.

“The people of the two States will continue to be brothers because of our historical bond. Our unity, oneness, and peace have always been our goal,” he said.

“Akwa Ibom State was created out of Cross River State, but then, we are still brothers. So, those of you living here must not stop to pray for the peace of Jerusalem as instructed in the Bible; and Cross River State is your Jerusalem because you are resident here. Continue to live in peace, love, and brotherliness for our overall growth,” he said.

The Governor lauded Apostle Helen Ukpabio for her impressive zeal and impact in the service of God and humanity, describing her as a servant of God with sound integrity and love for the well-being of humanity.

The State Chief Executive implored the cleric to continue to be steadfast and committed to her divine calling without minding detractors that are unknowingly contributing to her greater achievement and growth.

“As a matter of fact, I have come to learn that if people don’t disagree with what you are doing, then you are not doing anything. They are free to disagree because God didn’t give them the vision but you.”

The Governor commended Apostle Ukpabio “for being consistently consistent” in her pursuit of the work and service of God by drawing humanity to God.

Preaching on the theme: “Commanding the blessing,” taken from Psalm 133:3, Apostle Ukpabio said blessing was superior to curse, and that God’s blessing is His command or pronouncement that often comes in the form of multiplication and dominion for man.

Apostle Ukpabio admonished Christians to always keep their lives and environment clean in order to be able to command God’s blessings upon themselves and their endeavours.

She described Governor Umo Eno as a brother, Pastor, and leader of exceptional compassion and accomplishment in numerous people-centric developments.

She thanked him for the honour of his visit to the church, and prayed for continued success of his administration, asking God to continue to enrich him with more strength, grace and wisdom to lead Akwa Ibom State to greater heights of development.

On the Governor’s entourage were the Dean of College of Commissioners and Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mkpisong Frank Archibong; Senator Effiong Bob; Managing Director of Hensek Integrated Services Limited, Engr. Uwem Okoko; Commissioner for Information, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Umanah; Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Prof. Eno Ibanga, and others.
