The Anunciation Catholic College Irrua Old Boys Association, ACCIOBA, will this afternoon in Lagos, unveil a new book in honor of their alma mater.
The event which will climax into the 2026 reunion party, will be hosted by ACCIOBA global president, Dr. Ohens Joseph. It will be co-hosted by Mr. Efe Akhigbe, Lagos branch chairman alongside all other branch chairmen at the prestigious Civic Center, Ozumba Mbadiwe street, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The book titled, “Aay Cey Cey! No Rival: The Making of a Great School “, is published by ACCIOBA Publications and edited by Mr. Pius Akhimien. It is a compendium of stories and personal experiences shared by old boys of the school.
Writing in the “foreword” Dr. Ohens Joseph noted that “this book is not simply a reminiscence of our history. It captures the very spirit of A.C.C. Irrua. It painstakingly gathered the memories, milestones, and moments that define a revered legacy school in the Mid western part of Nigeria, creating a rich tapestry that will resonate with anyone who has walked its grounds. This is a story of resilience, innovation, and community—a story that shows how a single institution can shape not only individual lives but the very future of a nation.
“For former students, this book will be a journey back in time, a chance to reconnect with the memories and people that shaped us. For those new to the story of A.C.C. Irrua, it is an essential chronicle of a remarkable educational journey and an unequalled brotherhood, loyalty, charity, philanthropy, and responsibility to one’s roots. The pages that follow are a celebration of our shared past and a beacon for the future. They remind us that the foundation laid at A.C.C. Irrua continues to support and inspire its alumni long after graduation.”
The event begins at 12 noon with a red carpet session.
