Frankfurt, Germany, is preparing to host one of the biggest celebrations of African cinema as the 2026 Nollywood Film Festival Germany (NFFG) and the Nollywood Europe Golden Awards (NEGA) take centre stage from July 31 to August 1. The two-day event is expected to attract Nollywood stars, diplomats, government officials, business leaders, filmmakers and lovers of African culture from across Europe, Africa and beyond.

Organised by Ehizoya Golden Entertainment e.V. under the leadership of Cultural Ambassador Isaac Izoya, the festival is supported by the Nigerian Consulate General in Frankfurt, the Frankfurt Ministry of Arts and Culture, the Deutsches Filminstitut Filmmuseum, Nollywood Practitioners Europe and Edo Union e.V.

The festival will officially open on Friday, July 31, at the Deutsches Filmmuseum Cinema in Frankfurt with the screening of A Visit to Ward 4, a touching faith-based drama produced by Rosabelle Andrews and directed by Tony Edozie. The film tells the inspiring story of a 10-year-old girl battling cancer whose unwavering faith transforms the lives of those around her.

Cast members Anthony Woode, Rosabelle Andrews and Emmanuella Appah are expected to feature during an interactive session with fans, including a question-and-answer segment and autograph signing.
