86 NEW CASES RAISES NIGERIA’S COVID-19 TALLY TO 627

Nigeria now has a total of 627 COVID-19 cases. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made this known on Sunday, April 19 as it reported an unprecedented 86 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease.

According to the NCDC, Lagos State recorded 70 new infections while the federal capital territory followed with 7 new infections. Other states include Katsina and Akwa Ibom with three new cases respectively. Jigawa, Bauchi and Borno recorded one case each. Nigeria now has 627 confirmed cases. Of this number, 170 cases had been discharged while 21 deaths had been recorded in the country
