Earl Osaro Onaiwu, founding Director-General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum, has commended governors elected on the platform of the PDP for their outstanding performance in delivering people-focused governance across the country, despite mounting political pressures and distractions.
In a statement released on Sunday, Onaiwu hailed what he described as “transformational leadership” being demonstrated by PDP governors through impactful policies and developmental projects in sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social welfare.
“Across the nation—from Enugu to Zamfara, Oyo to Bauchi, Taraba to Adamawa, Osun to Plateau, and Bayelsa—PDP governors are setting a new standard for what purposeful leadership looks like,” he said. “Even in the face of undue pressure and political intimidation, they have remained committed to results-driven governance.”
Onaiwu highlighted improvements in road infrastructure, revitalized public health systems, youth empowerment programs, and forward-thinking education reforms as clear markers of the progress being recorded in PDP-led states.
“They’re not just constructing roads—they’re paving the way for economic growth. They’re not just building hospitals—they’re restoring lives and dignity. At a time when the nation faces serious challenges, it is refreshing to see leaders who are genuinely putting the people first,” he noted.
He further urged Nigerians to recognize and support leadership that works, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the Federal Government and performing states, regardless of political affiliation.
“This is not about party politics—it’s about Nigeria. When governors deliver meaningful results, they should be acknowledged and supported. That’s how we build a stronger, united country,” he stated.
Reaffirming his continued advocacy for effective governance, Onaiwu called on leaders across the political spectrum to emulate the discipline, vision, and commitment demonstrated by PDP governors nationwide.
