Its no longer news that Governor Obiano of Anambra State few days ago, suspended 12 traditional rulers from the state for accompanying billionaire businessman Prince Arthur Eze to visit President Muhammadu Buhari in Aso Rock without his authorisation.
Although that visit ended in nullity as the President did not receive them as well as earned them suspension from the Governor, the Monarchs are now having a last laugh as the drama has entered the second stage.
On Thursday, the Monarchs led by Prince Arthur Eze, were received by Chief of Staff to the President, Professor Ibrahim Gambari, at the Villa.
The visitors had expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for his commitment to development of the country in general, and the South East in particular.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the Chief of Staff had “thanked them for coming, adding that the gesture would encourage the President to do even more for the region and the country as a whole”.
Basking in the triumph of having finally received audience from Aso Rock, an ecstatic Arthur Eze had gifted the monarchs with brand new Lexus SUVs.
Some of the monarchs who had gone on the trip included HRM Eze Dr Nkeli Nzekwe, HRM Igwe Chuba Mbakwe, HRM Igwe Chijioke Nwankwo, HRH Igwe Anthony Onwekwelu, and HRH Igwe Chukwuma Bobo Orji.
