The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced it will reschedule the unveiling and inauguration ceremony for its National Campaign Council (NCC), originally set for Tuesday, 20th October 2026. The landmark event will now be held on Monday, 26th October 2026.
According to a press statement released on Monday, 19th October 2026, by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director Esq., the postponement has been necessitated by the exceptionally busy schedule of the party’s presidential candidate, His Excellency Mr. Peter Obi, who is currently attending to critical engagements overseas.
Expressing regret for any inconvenience the shift may cause stakeholders, the party leadership urged members and supporters to stay focused on the overarching goal.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this shift and urge everyone not to lose focus on the goal of ensuring victory for our presidential candidate and all NDC candidates in the forthcoming presidential and general elections,” the statement read.
