Folashodun Adebisi Shonubi, has taken over as the acting Central Bank of Nigeria Governor following the decision of President Bola Tinubu to suspend Godwin Emefiele on Friday. He is the Deputy Governor, Operations Directorate, and second in command to Mr. Godwin Emefiele. Shonubi was appointed Deputy Governor of Central Bank Of Nigeria on 10, October 2018 by former President Muhammdu Buhari.
