STELLA MONYE’S SON IBRAHIM UNDERGOES SUCCESSFUL SEVEN-HOUR SURGERY IN THE U.S.

Nigerian star musician, Stella Monye, is currently thanking God as her only son, Ibrahim on Monday, underwent a successful seven-hour surgery in the United States of America.

Earlier in the year, the musician had gone cap in hands to Nigerians, requesting for help to bankroll the surgery in America. In an interview, Stella had told Nigerians; “My Son’s bladder is ruptured, so it bleeds into his abdomen, mixing with his urine: it is always infected. The doctors here tried to treat him recently, but recommended I took him outside Nigeria for corrective surgery. His kidney is swollen and lacerated”.

“This painful process has impacted his kidney. He now has kidney failures and requires dialysis three times a week. I can only afford two dialyses per month at N45k each. That is not good for his body. I need help. My hope and second chance are in this Specialist in Indiana. I need N35 million to pay for his corrective surgery. I need help. Please Nigeria, help me”.

Bearing this good news on his Facebook wall on Tuesday, the prime mover of the donations which took Ibrahim to the United States, ace journalist, Azuka Jebose wrote, “For Stella and her son, Ibrahim, today is a milestone towards healing. Teardrops tease my laptop keyboard as I type these; goose bumps swell on my baldhead and everywhere else. I feel more than a sweepstakes winner. Dear Nigerians, you are an amazing compassionate people….Its been long, painful for Stella Monye and Ibrahim”.

“But these finest minutes, the healing begins. At about 1p.m today, Urology doctors at New York University Hospital began a major surgery on Ibrahim, to repair his urethra. A few minutes ago, the lead Urology Specialist, Dr. Lee, informed Stella that the surgery was a success. Ibrahim has been moved to recovery. It’s been an excruciating eight-hour wait for this happy ending news. Stella is elated. We are coming close to the end of a 20-year pain and anguish for a young good Samaritan that ruptured his urethra while trying to help a friend. Please increase your prayers. Thank you Nigerians, for your support and prayers”, Jebose concluded.
