Last week Wednesday, the Sharing Passion Nigeria Initiative, honoured Professor Ben Ayade for his monumental achievements as Governor of Cross River State.
The commendation came during its program tagged “sheeting our sword” to mark the 10th year anniversary of the organization
Making the commendation, National President, Sir Dorncklaimz Enamhe, said Ayade has lifted Cross River State to a higher pedestal politically, economically and socially. The lawyer and Chattered Arbitrator said Ayade has proved himself as an epitome of good governance and political tolerance judging by the ways and manner he has been able to impact on his state
According to him, Ayade demonstrated a political ethic hitherto unknown in the state during the last elections as he accommodated all opponents and ran a campaign devoid of intimidation and aggression.
“Ayade made sure he made peace with all the political entities in the state including all his co aspirants from his political party of PDP. It could be recalled that there was no history of violence or intimidation all through the campaigns. It could also be recalled that all the political parties had to pay a visit to the Governor to thank him for violent free electoral campaigns and elections,” Enamhe stated.
He also praised the Governor for his industrialization of the state despite paucity of funds. Enamhe listed the several achievements of the Governor to include, the piles and Pylon factory, the tooth pick factory, the biofertilizer factory, the calachika factory, the Calapharm factory and the completion of the 21 megawatts power plant, which have brought employment and massive development to the state.
Enamhe commended Governor Ayade on the Cross River rice seedlings project which has been bringing in billions of naira to the state’s coffers.
He also called on the Federal Government to partner with Ayade to achieve the superhighway project and the Bakassi deep sea port which will impact positively to the country’s economy.
