DAY OF RAGE IN LAGOS: GOV. SANWO-OLU’S FAMILY HOUSE, BRT BUSES, TINUBU’S TV AND RADIO STATIONS, SEVERAL OTHERS BURNT

It has been a veritable day of rage in Lagos State as rioters went on violent rampage to protest the Nigerian Army killing of innocent #endsars protesters yesterday by at the Lekki Toll gate.

Mayhem started early on Wednesday when the angry rioters struck at different parts of Lagos, burning and damaging property of individuals and the state Government.

Nigerians were stunned when a live program was aborted midway at the Television Continental (TVC), owned by All Progressives Congress, APC, leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Few minutes after, the premises which housed TVC and MAX FM radio, was burnt down.

The rioters had also called at Surulere, where they set ablaze Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s mother’s house.

Also burnt, were the high-rise Nigerian Port Authority, NPA office in Marina, the Secretariat of Ajeromi/Ifelodun Local Government Area, in Ajegunle. The rioters also vandalised the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Iga Iduganran.

Not done, the rioters set ablaze the premises of the Motor Vehicle Administration situated at Ojodu-Berger area of Lagos which accommodates the offices of Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC), Vehicle Inspection Service (VIS) and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA). Impounded vehicles in the compound were also burnt.

Before the Ojodu-Berger incident, the rioters had torched the BRT bus station in Oyingbo area setting over 10 buses on fire.
