The remains of Barrister Humphrey Anumudu, boss of Globe Motors Ltd and former governorship aspirant of the Labour Party, LP, in Imo State, was on Thursday, laid to rest at his home town, Obilubi Mbieri, Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
Anumudu, a multi-billionaire businessman cum politician, died suddenly on Friday March 24, 2023 in Lagos after he returned from a party meeting in Abuja.
Funeral rites for the politician who had contested for the Imo governorship since 1998, began with a Service of Songs held at the All Souls Anglican Church, Kayode Animashauan street, Lekki phase 1, Lagos on Saturday, April 22, 2023.
Prominent among those who witnessed the burial in Mbieri on Thursday, include the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr. Peter Obi, LP candidate for Imo North senatorial district, Chief Charles Ahize, former Imo State governorship candidate, Chief Nwosu among several others.
Anumudu, died at the age of 69, three years after his elder brother and founder of Globe Motors , Chief Willie Anumudu died in 2020.
