Nigeria’s Falconets on Sunday thrashed their Niger Republic U20 opponents 7-0 in their WAFU B U20 opener in Kumasi, Ghana.
Their first goal came inside three minutes through Opeyemi Ajakaye, who hit a brace ten minutes later before Chinyere Kalu scored in the 30th minute to put the Falconets three goals up.
Nigeria’s fourth goal was scored by Adaobi Okah from the penalty spot in the 49th minute before Ajakaye completed her hat-trick just five minutes later to make it 5-0.
Victoria Alani thundered home an effort from distance in the 64th minute before Chioma Olise headed home a seventh for the team in added time.
The Falconets will face Togo and Burkina Faso in the other group matches.
