SUPER FALCONS LOSE 1-2 TO FRANCE IN INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY

The French national women’s football team, Les Bleues, on Saturday, continued their dominance over Nigeria’s Super Falcons, with a 2-1 defeat in an international friendly played in the city of Angers, France.

The fireworks started in the eight-minute of the game when Les Bleues’ Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored for France. The goal was however ruled offside.

France finally netted their first goal through Eugenie Le Sommer in the 29th minute. They returned again in the 37th minute, when Amel Majri scored the second goal.

Nigeria’s Super Falcons pulled one back in the additional time of the first half, when Ifeoma Onumomu finished a pass from Monday Gift,

The goal was the first ever by the Falcons against France in the several times they have played over the years.
