AUSTRALIAN OPEN: CARLOS ALCARAZ BEATS NOVAK DJOKOVIC, BECOMES YOUNGEST EVER TO WIN ALL FOUR MAJOR GRAND SLAMS

Carlos Alcaraz on Sunday, made history as the youngest man to complete the career Grand Slam – lifting all four of the sport’s major trophies – with his maiden Australian Open triumph.

The 22 year-old beat ten time winner Novak Djokovic to clinch his seventh major title of his career, just six years after making his senior debut.

Alcaraz, won the over three hours duel with a 2-6 6-2 6-3 7-5 victory in Melbourne.

Alcaraz has now surpassed Don Budge, who had won the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and the US Open by the age of 22 years and 355 days in 1938.
