The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Ojukwu, has formally presented Letters of Credence on behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to three newly appointed Nigerian ambassadors-designate.
The envoys include Ambassador Aminu Dalhatu to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Ayodele Oke to France, and Senator Jimoh Ibrahim as Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York.
In a statement shared via her official X handle, the minister described the presentation as a key step in Nigeria’s diplomatic process, noting that Letters of Credence serve as formal instruments issued by a Head of State to introduce and accredit ambassadors to host countries.
She explained that the letters authorize the envoys to represent Nigeria’s interests abroad and request the receiving states to accord them full recognition and trust in the discharge of their duties.
Ojukwu congratulated the ambassador-designates and expressed confidence in their ability to advance Nigeria’s foreign policy objectives, wishing them a successful tour of duty in service to the nation
