NFC, BOI MOVE TO SCALE UP NATIONAL FILM INSTITUTE UNDER IDICE INITIATIVE

The Nigerian Film Corporation (NFC), proprietor of the National Film Institute (NFI), recently hosted a delegation from the Bank of Industry (BoI) for a strategic engagement under the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) initiative.

The two-day engagement focused on strengthening NFI’s capacity to deliver world-class training in film production, content creation, and other creative enterprises. Discussions centered on positioning NFI as a global training hub that drives skills development, wealth creation, and job opportunities for Nigerian youth.

Speaking during the visit, NFC Managing Director/Chief Executive, Dr. Ali Nuhu, said NFI has, since its establishment in 1995, consistently delivered high-quality film production training through domestic and international partnerships. He added that with support from iDICE and other stakeholders, NFI will continue to equip young, digitally savvy Nigerians with cutting-edge skills, mentorship, and capacity-building opportunities to compete in the global creative economy.

The successful engagement reaffirms government’s commitment to scaling NFI’s infrastructure and capabilities to sustain excellence in film training and grow Nigeria’s creative industry.
