The Voice News Magazine has announced plans to honour 45 distinguished African leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers at the 15th edition of The Voice Achievers Award 2026, scheduled to hold on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Hilton London Kensington Hotel in the United Kingdom. The annual event is expected to bring together policymakers, business executives, cultural icons and members of the African diaspora to celebrate excellence and promote Africa’s positive global image.
The 2026 edition is themed “Putting Africa in the Right Perspective – Focusing on Mental Empowerment for Economic Inclusion and Growth.” Organisers said the theme reflects the growing importance of investing in human capital, leadership development and mental empowerment as key drivers of sustainable economic growth and inclusive development across the continent.
Activities for the day will begin with The Voice Business Dialogue at 9:00 a.m., featuring high-level panel discussions, interactive breakout sessions and a dedicated Women Empowerment Session. According to the organisers, the dialogue will provide participants with opportunities to exchange ideas on business, leadership, innovation and economic transformation before the evening’s award ceremony.
The gala, which begins at 6:00 p.m., will feature the presentation of awards to 45 exceptional individuals and organisations whose contributions have impacted leadership, business, healthcare, education, innovation, sports, fashion, arts, media and community development.
Organisers described the awards as one of the leading international platforms recognising Africans and friends of Africa for outstanding achievements.
Among the top honourees are Dr. Seyi Davids, who will receive the African Man of the Year Award, Beatrice Schnell-Okello as African Woman of the Year, Chief James Chijioke Ume as African Hero, Dr. Fatiatu Olawuyi Jobi as African Heroine, and Dr. Farzam Kamalabadi, who will be honoured with the African Iconic Personality Award. Professor Kishan Devani, BEM, FRSA, Dr. Walton Ekundayo Gilpin, Apostle George Amadi, and Professor Geoff Thompson are also among the prominent award recipients.
Other notable awardees include Matthew Crummack, who will receive the CEO of the Year Recognition Award, Barrister Ebele Iyiegbu as African Image Maker, Dada Olusegun for African Public Relations Excellence, Tec-Ride BV for African Technology Excellence, Famous Capital Limited for African Entrepreneurship, and Aminata Jarju of Amina’s Fashion Sengambia, who will be honoured as African Fashion Designer of the Year.
Guests attending the ceremony will also enjoy a high-fashion showcase celebrating African and international designs, musical performances by UK-based entertainer DJ Slim, a buffet dinner and networking opportunities with influential business leaders, diplomats, investors and professionals from across Africa and the diaspora.
