The management of Enugu Air has confirmed that one of its aircrafts was involved in a runway excursion after landing at Benin Airport on Thursday.
A runway excursion occurs when an aircraft departs the runway surface during takeoff or landing. Such incidents can range from minor events to more serious occurrences depending on circumstances and damage.

The airline in a public notice issued after the incident, said the aircraft veered off the runway after touchdown. It, however, stressed that all passengers and crew disembarked safely.
“We confirm that all passengers and crew have safely disembarked and there were no injuries or casualties,” the airline stated.
Enugu Air said the aircraft has been secured, and relevant aviation authorities have been notified in line with established safety procedures.
According to the airline, an investigation is already ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the runway excursion and to assess the condition of the aircraft.
The airline added that the incident may cause “temporary adjustments to some flight schedules.”
“Passengers affected by any changes will be contacted directly and provided with the necessary assistance,” the statement said.
Enugu Air reaffirmed that the safety of passengers, crew and operations remains its highest priority, and promised to provide further updates through its official channels.
No further details were immediately available on the cause of the incident or the extent of damage to the aircraft
