ACTORS GUILD SUSPEND NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS, QUEEN HILBERT FOR MISCONDUCT

…PRODUCER DEMANDS N2 MILLION FROM HER FOR BREACH OF CONTRACT

All is not looking bright for beautiful Nollywood actress, Queen Hilbert right now.

This is because, her association, the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, has suspended her indefinitely from participating in her acting job for gross misconduct.

Thebladengr.com gathered that her travails arose from a dispute between herself and the management of Demek Movies Industries Limited, a movie production outfit based in Onitsha, Anambra State.

According to the story, the Managing Director of the outfit, Mr Chukwuemeka Chiemerie, had petitioned the Delta State chapter of the Actors Guild leadership, alleging that Queen, breached a production contract and has refused to make amends.

Demek Movies had followed up with a letter through their legal advisers, Messrs Anthony U. Okafor & co wherein they demanded the sum of N2 million from the actress as damages caused by the breach.

Insiders told thebladengr.com that the Delta State AGN took the matter before the National exco who decided to suspend her pending the conclusion of their investigations.

A letter by Mr. Emma Onyemeziem, Chairman, Actors Guild of Nigeria, Delta State chapter, said Queen’s suspension came as a result of her misconduct and unprofessional behavior on different sets of production.

The Chairman wrote, “We have tried to our best to see that she change from her act of misconduct but she has refused to listen or take correction from anybody.

Please this suspension is with immediate effect and the guild taskforce have been directed to visit production sets any will to enforce the suspension.

Discipline to all starts with one.

Thebladengr.com also sighted a second letter of suspension this time, from the National body and signed by the AGN President, Mr. Emeka Rollas.
