ADEBUTU, SONAME, ELEGUSHI, OLOPADE, OTHERS TO GRACE OLOKETUYI’S POLITICAL BOOK LAUNCH

Prominent businessmen, political figures, traditional rulers and other leading personalities are set to converge on Lagos this weekend for the launch of Seun Oloketuyi’s much-anticipated book, How to Win Elections in Nigeria.

The high-profile event is scheduled for Sunday, September 6, 2026, at La Scala Restaurant, MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos, where an array of influential Nigerians is expected to grace the occasion.

Among the distinguished guests expected at the launch are billionaire businessman, Chief Adebukola Kesington Adebutu; renowned sports investor, Kunle Soname; the Elegushi of Ikate Kingdom, Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi; Director-General of the National Sports Commission, Hon. Bukola Olopade; and Aare Abisoye Fagade, alongside other notable dignitaries.

The book offers a rare and revealing account of Nigeria’s electoral politics, drawing from candid conversations with politicians who have contested elections at different levels of government.

Through their firsthand experiences, the contributors provide insights into the realities, challenges, strategies and behind-the-scenes dynamics that shape the pursuit of political office in Nigeria.

Among the prominent political figures featured in the book are former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello; former Abia State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu; former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke; and former Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi.

Other notable contributors include Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, Senator Sharafadeen Alli, Hon. Jimi Benson, Hon. Moji Ojora, Hon. Shina Peller, Hon. Ayodeji Joseph and Hon. Abdul Raheem Tunji Olawuyi.

The contributors delve into the intricate workings of electoral politics, examining campaign strategies, party structures, grassroots mobilisation, political networking and relationship management, as well as the often-unseen obstacles candidates face on the long road to the ballot.

Rather than offering a theoretical examination of elections, How to Win Elections in Nigeria draws lessons from the successes, setbacks and personal experiences of individuals who have participated directly in Nigeria’s political contests.

The book consequently provides readers with an insider’s perspective on what it takes to seek political office, build political support, navigate Nigeria’s complex electoral terrain and ultimately emerge victorious in one of Africa’s most challenging political environments.

With the convergence of business leaders, political actors, traditional institutions and other influential personalities, the launch is expected to be one of the notable social and political gatherings in Lagos this weekend.

The unveiling of How to Win Elections in Nigeria is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at La Scala Restaurant, MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos
